Understanding the difference between flat and apartment
So what is a flat?
Here’s the answer to ‘what is flat?’. Flats are basically one-storey living spaces with bedrooms, kitchens, washrooms and a standard hall. And the number of rooms depends on the size of the flat. For example, when we say ‘2BHK flat’, it means the flat has 2 bedrooms, 1 hall and a kitchen. Now, as for the location of the flats, they might be located in standalone buildings or apartment complexes. So that’s the key difference. All apartments have flats, but all flats may not be part of an apartment building.
So what is an apartment?
An apartment is usually a housing complex with multiple storeys and multiple flats. It’s sort of one large society with their own water supply system, entry and exit gates, and security measures in place. So if a flat is located inside an apartment building or complex, you get additional perks. Like power backups. The safety of living inside a gated community. And security guards whose salary is paid by the contribution of all the flat owners within that apartment complex or society. Long story short, as a first-time renter, what you should know is that you’ll be renting a flat, not the entire apartment. However, the flat that you’d be renting might be located inside an apartment building. Or it might be a part of a standalone building. That’s all.
Now, what are managed apartments?
Managed apartments are what we call the flats we offer at Stanza Living. Now, they might be 1BHKs, 2BHKs, or more. But the key difference is that our flats come with multiple amenities. Unlike normal flats.
So when you rent a Stanza Living managed apartment, you don’t just get a bare bone space. But a fully furnished flat with a fully stocked kitchen. On top of that, we provide you daily housekeeping, high-speed Wi-Fi, and plenty of other amenities included in your monthly rent. Basically, you end up with the privacy of a flat with the amenities you’d find in a good PG. The very best of both worlds.
